SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 1, 2021) — SD Mayer & Associates, a San Francisco-based accounting, financial advisory and wealth management firm, is pleased to announce that an agreement has been signed with Redwood City, California-based TNT Inc. Certified Public Accountants, to merge effective July 1, 2021. Helen Johnson CPA will also be joining the firm, effective as of June 1, 2021.
The merger strengthens SD Mayer’s reach throughout Silicon Valley by adding resources for its business and high net worth individuals. SD Mayer recently expanded its Menlo Park office to include a tax team, alongside our original space for our other practices. The firm’s San Francisco headquarters is home base for over 40 staff members focused on every service the firm offers from tax to audit and consulting, to wealth management and outsourced accounting.
TNT Inc. Certified Public Accountants was founded by Mike and Rebecca Teutschel in 2013, after leaving their prior firm. “Rebecca and I have worked with Steve for over 30 years, so it was natural that we would turn to him and his firm as we started the process of winding down our schedules,” says Mike. “I believe that our high net worth individual and business clients will enjoy access to the wide breadth of services and resources offered by SD Mayer.”

Helen Johnson CPA is also joining the firm, having worked with tax partner, Joanne Wiggins-Barros, CPA, and with Mike Teutschel at another firm they worked for. “Helen will be the glue that joins us” said Steve Mayer, “Having worked with our tax partner will help her onboard quickly, and her familiarity with Mike’s clients will help with the transition from TNT to SD Mayer. It’s a huge win.” Helen will be working from the Menlo Park office with Joanne, focused on her own clients, as well as those being transitioned over from Mike’s firm.
