With San Francisco as its backdrop, this accounting, consulting, and wealth management firm is a testament to Steve’s visionary spirit and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Before embarking on his journey with SD Mayer, Steve helmed the ship at Burr Pilger Mayer (BPM) as its CEO. From co-founding Presidio Bank to owning a slice of Books Inc., and even diving into the bustling restaurant scene, Steve’s entrepreneurial flair is evident in every endeavor.

Yet, what truly amplifies Steve’s professional prowess is his holistic approach. With an expansive career that encompasses accounting, consulting, and wealth management, he offers a rare 360-degree perspective. Whether it’s the intricate nuances of tax and accounting, strategic mergers and acquisitions, or guiding businesses with visionary advisory services, Steve is the quintessential professional his clients rely upon.

Beyond his business ventures, Steve’s heart beats for the community. Over four enriching decades, he has poured his time, energy, and passion into more than 15 non-profit boards. On the home front, San Mateo resonates with the joyous echoes of his family life, where he cherishes moments with his wife of over three decades and their three children.

Not just a feat of physical endurance, it symbolized his indomitable spirit, proving that age is merely a number when one’s spirit remains unyielding.

In Steve Mayer, one witnesses the remarkable fusion of a visionary leader, a community pillar, and a man deeply committed to every facet of life.
